If you have the funds, it's worth snagging enemy fetchlands now while prices are low. they'll start ticking back up again in a few months. But if you need ally fetchlands, it might be worth waiting until they are eventually reprinted.įinally, Liliana, Untouched by Death is on the rise, shooting up 42% to $6.50 this week thanks to a new infinite combo with Shambling Ghast and a sacrifice outlet, with Liliana's -3 allowing you to sacrifice and recast Shambling Ghast and infinite number of times with mana from the Treasure token Shambling Ghast produces. The end result is that the cost of putting together a Modern manabase isn't really meaningfully different than it was before Modern Horizons 2. Wooded Foothills, Polluted Delta, and Bloodstained Mire are all around $50, while Flooded Strand and Windswept Heath are just under $40, representing roughly a 100% increase in price since the start of the year. So what's the issue? The prices of the allied fetchlands have greatly increased. Less desirable fetchlands like Arid Mesa and Marsh Flats can be had for around $20. You can grab copies of Scalding Tarn for around $35. This isn't to say that the Modern Horizons 2 reprinting was lacking in impact - the enemy fetches are currently quite cheap (at least by fetchland standards). Meanwhile, even though the enemy fetchlands were just reprinted in Modern Horizons 2, we might already need another fetchland reprinting. It has been reprinted multiple times, most recently in a Zendikar Rising Commander precon. Don't expect it to climb towards Hullbreacher's former price tag. While the Human Rogue was probably underpriced at $2, it's already trending back down and will probably settle at somewhere around $4. While this might be true in some cases, Notion Thief being Dimir rather than Mono-Blue is a pretty big issue in Commander. The biggest gainer this week was Notion Thief (increasing more than 200% to $6), which was bought out after the announcement that Hullbreacher was banned in Commander, presumably on the theory that players would replace their Hullbreacher with the next best thing.
